Downloading and Viewing Documents

All OMAC documents are provided in Microsoft Word 6.0 format. For more information on working with our documents, please select from the following topics.

Downloading Documents to be Viewed at a Later Time

By default, most browsers are not configured to automatically view Microsoft Word documents. If this is the case with your browser, whenever you link to an OMAC document (for example from the Calendar or List of Reports), your browser will prompt you to save the document to a local disk. If you decide to save the document, it will be downloaded to your computer and saved to whichever location you specify.

This way of doing things is especially convenient if you want to download multiple documents and then return to view them later. Once a document has been saved, it may be opened at any time using Microsoft Word or Microsoft Word Viewer.

Configuring your Browser to View Documents Automatically

If you don't want to go through the steps of separately downloading and opening documents, you can configure your browser to recognize Microsoft Word documents and automatically open them in Microsoft Word or Microsoft Word Viewer. For more detailed information, select your browser type from the list below.

Viewing Documents without Microsoft Word

If you don't have access to Microsoft Word but you do operate in a Windows 3.1 or Windows 95 environment, you can download Microsoft Word Viewer for free at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/officedev/office/viewers/viewer97.htm.

After you have downloaded and installed Word Viewer, it may be used instead of Microsoft Word to open any Microsoft Word document. In addition, you can configure your browser to work with Word Viewer as described above.
